We incorporate nature’s bounty from the sea and the mountains in order to offer a consistently "nostalgic taste" while creating new taste experiences at Gohei.

We would like our guests to enjoy the true flavors and delicacies of the seasons. We strive to serve the best of Shizuoka with the freshest seasonal and local ingredients.
From the ocean: Bonito from Omaezaki, Sakura ebi (shrimp) from Yui, Oysters from Hamanako, From the mountains: Bamboo shoots from Okabe, Amela tomatoes from Oigawa, Japanese yam from Hatsukura, Shiitake mushrooms from Ikumi, LYB pork (Landrace x Yorkshire x Berkshire pork) from Fujinomiya, Kuroge Wagyu Shizuoka Sodachi (Black Japanese beef raised in Shizuoka). Our dishes incorporate a rich variety of local ingredients from Shizuoka.

Our sake list focuses on local Shizuoka sake. We have selected only premium shochu from all over Japan. We also offer a wide variety of wine to choose from that will compliment our signature dishes and is appropriate for any possible occasion. All of the beverages we offer are carefully selected to ensure they enhance our culinary masterpieces and signature dishes.

Our counter seats enable you to watch our chef’s Japanese culinary skills in action as they use the freshest ingredients to prepare each course right in front of you. We also have private rooms with irori (a traditional Japanese sunken hearth), various table seating options, and tatami rooms for your special occasions.
